Google’s NotebookLM for account reviews
If I was an enterprise sales leader I would be coaching all of my AEs to start using Google's NotebookLM before any account/opportunity review meeting.
In just two weeks since launch it has developed at a rapid pace.
You can now feed it websites, YouTube videos and Google Drive files in addition to uploading documents.
In this example I 'fed' it Anglo American's website, the transcript from the latest financial results, and a YouTube video discussing their strategy progress.
Immediately I get:
✅ A 7 minute podcast with two speakers discussing Anglo's transition from coal to copper and the issues of some recent fires at a coal facility.
✅ A briefing document summarising the company's strategy
✅ Suggested questions I might want to ask do dig deeper
Three reasons why I love this for enterprise sales:
- The podcast is a great way for a manager/Exec to get up to speed on the business before being helicoptered in to meet with the customer's execs
- The suggested questions get rid of the "blank page" issue with ChatGPT - some sellers don't know the right questions to ask
- You can easily share these notebooks across your organisation to ensure SDRs, AEs, CSM's product managers are aligned without having to have hundreds of meetings
